Idul Adha 1438 H, Rector Unand Invite Unand Community To be Smart In Absorbing Information

Universitas Andalas members and all communities around campus perform Eid al-Adha prayer 1438 H together on Friday (1/9) at Masjid Nurul Ilmi Campus Unand Limau Manis Padang.

"This activity is a routine activity of Unand together with mosque officials and community around the campus in order to strengthen family hood," said Rector Unand Prof. Dr. Tafdil Husni, SE, MBA after the Eid al-Adha prayer.

On behalf of the leaders of Unand I congratulate the Eid al-Adha day to all leaders of Unand, lecturers, education staff, all Unand students and residents around the campus. Hopefully the momentum of Eid al-Adha we can continue to improve our faith in Allah SWT.

Furthermore, he explained the information behind this circulating that triggered the conflict, it is expected that people do not swallow it raw. It could be the information is only false or hoax news to take us apart. For that, it is expected that the public could be smarter in absorbing information and more selective in using the media.

On the occasion, the Rector also invited all of the audience to take many lessons from Eid al-Adha event that is the value of communication, how Prophet Ibrahim communicate with his son Prophet Ismail. Second, the value of patience and sincerity. Applying patience and sincerity is certainly a job that is not easy but I am sure all we can do it. And last is the value of sacrifice, how can we sacrifice something valuable in our lives to be beneficial to others.

In the current Eid al-Adha 1438 H,  at Nurul Ilmi Mosque also carry out the slaughter of sacrificial animals 4 cows and 2 goats. This sacrificial animal comes from leaders, lecturers, educational staff. The sacrificial animals will be picked up after Friday prayers and the sacrificial meat will be distributed to Unand residents and the community around the campus.
